About Us

Dutro is located in Logan, Utah. We have been making our hand trucks, hand carts and dollies in our metal fabrication facility for decades. What began post-war in 1945 in Emeryville, California was a fulfillment of a need. As the post-war boom unfolded Dutro found a place supplying heavy-duty steel material handling equipment to retail and industry.

What started then has never stopped. After moving from California to Utah, Dutro expanded offerings to serve more specific commercial and industrial needs. For example, the Dutro line of Cylinder Hand Trucks was developed after working closely with clients in the air-gas industry. The same was true of beverage delivery pros – folks who moved stuff every day from location to location, and from truck to workplace.
